UTU News Spring Edition - A message from UTU President Mark Creelman
Happy New Year!
Work will soon be commencing on the Spring 2017 edition of the UTU News which, hopefully, will be posted out after the Easter holidays. Many thanks to all those who submitted articles for the last edition and for the wonderful feedback.
Looking towards the next edition of UTU News, if you have an article or item of interest that you would like to include, please begin forwarding those to me any time now. Remember, articles need not be lengthy, even a small paragraph can say a lot and photos are always useful. Articles may be about individuals, classes, teams, academic, vocational, sport, teachers, children and/or communities.
‘Dear Field Officer’ will be running again in the next issue. Forward questions – however difficult, awkward or seemingly tedious –to us and we will publish an answer from one of our experienced officials in the next issue of UTU News. Questions posted will be posted anonymously in the article.
'Teachers Anonymous' will also be running in this next issue. Do you have an idea for an anonymous article outlining the trials, tribulations, challenges or frustrations of school life, e.g. work-related, inspections, stress, etc.? This article will be anonymously published and should not include information that identifies schools, pupils, staff or any other information that could identify the locality of the school. Any leading information will be edited out. These articles can be posted to UTU if you prefer to remain anonymous.
If you think you have something worth sharing, please send an email as soon as possible to:
